It intersects with spas, hotel wellness, wellness centres, training providers, product manufacturers, and fitness-related services. Each segment evolved independently. Each developed its own systems. Yet none operated within a unified national framework.

Despite strong demand, youth participation, and MSME presence across cities and towns, the sector continues to face manpower instability, lack of unified standards, licensing ambiguity, and inconsistent consumer trust. Skill development systems exist, but alignment with real industry requirements remains limited. Government schemes are available, yet the absence of a single structured industry interface has restricted effective policy translation on the ground.
